Constructed in 1943, the former Co-Op Gas and Supply buildings holds a significant place in Sandpoint’s story. Since the early 2000’s, it has transformed into the Granary Arts District, an evolving and vibrant hub for the local arts. The district hosts numerous activities and annual festivals, and features multiple art exhibitions year round. Additionally, local and traveling musicians regularly perform in the courtyard, providing a gathering place for locals.

Adjacent buildings are occupied by thriving businesses like Evans Brothers Coffee and Matchwood Brewing Company, further enhancing the area's appeal and contributing to its dynamic atmosphere. The Sandpoint Dover Community Trail, a popular place for road biking, running, and walking, runs through the lot.

The Next Chapter

There are several avenues we think are appropriate for the next chapter. All of these reflect the buildings past, either as a place for grain processing (i.e. future distillery), a place for connecting the locals (i.e. community center) or as a symbol of the regions story (i.e. history museum). We’ve spent years developing professional studies and reports to guide these visions for the next chapter.
